Understanding gold standards:



Pure gold is 24K
22 Karat = 22K , is composed of 22/24 = 0.91666 parts of pure gold,
it is therefore 916/100 ot 91.67 % pure gold

18K, also called 750/1000, 75 % pure gold
14K, also called 583/1000, 58.3% pure gold
10K, also called 417/1000, 41.7% pure gold
9K, also called 375/1000, 37.5% pure gold
