SUMMER IN THE CITY

Craft Central, 12 – 17 June is an exciting pop-up exhibition which showcases the work of twelve talented designer-makers and evokes the heat, shade, colour and vibrancy of summer life in London.
The jewellery collections are exquisitely crafted and refreshingly diverse and feature hot colours in mixed media, cool precious metals and stones, the geometry of the city’s skyline, and London’s summer wildlife.
Visitors of the exhibition can meet the designers and talk to them about the making of the jewellery on show.  JeDeCo’s designer-makers are also hosting a late night viewing for VIPs, media and the public on Thursday 14 June until 8 pm.

JeDeCo, one of London’s most innovative groups of jewellery designers, is proud to announce its prestigious partnership with Jewellery Week 2012, to present an exciting new pop-up exhibition Summer in the City, at Craft Central’s Corner Shop in Clerkenwell from Tuesday 12 June until Sunday 17 June 2012.

The Nautilus collection is inspired by Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and the illustrations of Captain Nemo's ship the Nautilus. The Nautilus collections 4 pieces - Ring, Pendant, Bracelet elegant drop Earrings and focus on the boldly coloured titanium at the centre of each piece, the titanium dome has a vivid blue/purple colour sits on crisp Art Deco black oxidised forms
 
The wondrous vessel with its bold Art-Deco forms and dark history provides the foundations for the collection with nautical detail interpreting the hidden world of Nemo's ship with Deco portholes looking out into the midnight ocean.
 
 
All the pieces will be launching at Treasure at Somersethouse during Londonjewellery week.
