Caring for oxidised jewellery

Caring for oxidised jewellery
Some of the creations available from Catherine Marche Jewellery are oxidised.
It means the silver has been darkened chemically.
Oxidising is a temporary surface treatment applied to silver to turn the item dark grey. The oxidization is not permanent and will progressively burnish slightly on raised areas over time.
This is often seen as a positive feature, as the surface individually evolves through use of the wearer.
To prolong the black finish it is advised that you store your oxidised jewellery separately from your other jewellery to avoid it rubbing against each one another or any sharp surfaces. Avoid contact with harsh chemicals such as perfumes, cosmetics, shampoo and cleaning products.
Catherine Marche is happy to re-oxidize any item purchased free of charge, however, postal charges will need to be covered by the customer both ways.
